Hello all,

Before anything i would like to wish everyone a HAPPY RAYA and while im at it, HAPPY RAMADHAN too ^^

so moving on, alot of work lately in the office, and at the same time, ive been doing fixes and trades here and there. So far several laptops were let go, and the usual fixes (mostly people wanted their computer formated :S ) There was this on case where the power board for the Mobo fried, a quick replacement did the job that costs around 70-100. Shop advice? Change the Mobo for 300! heuahuehauhea

My desktop got hit by lightning, and fried my PSU (a 550W GTR) so decided to buy a new replacement for it... while waiting, i had a 450w sphare but i could not fit my 5770 ATI Radeon... checked the website to find out the Min Req. and Im VERY sure they quoted a COOLER MASTER 500W PSU! so i got one cheap (in burnei a 550W would probably cost me 150$ - kinda feel like a rip off!) so ... as you might have guessed! it didnt work and now im using my stock GPU...256 MB memory .... Sad! well heres some pics

Hello,

Its been awhile, i find it harder and harder to find time for computers... things have slowed down, but it has not stopped. I do have the occasional Repair Jobs and also have sold some laptops (which i didnt post up in this blog), perhaps i need time to rethink where this hobby of mine is going (ie. fixing, buying, selling and customizing laptops/desktops/computers). Ive made mistakes of my own in the past and soon ill start again, making changes and this Dream of mine to have a computer shop of my own, will slowly materialize! =)

ANyways! The New Stuff! so far ill contiune posting laptops for sale, ill update you with my "DG Life" a collections of things i do with regards to computers, ive designed some custom computer concepts, but needs tweaking. ANything for sale, is under the "Fore Sale" button, click it and see. Do tell you friends about me. We here at DG-cribb also do fixes, repairs, replacements, and if u feel you local computer shop charges an arm and a leg, then u can give us a try =)

Making a cheap desktop

Hello again,

The past few weeks ive been pondering on how to get the cheapest desktop for my dad, and believe it or not... he knows lag when he feels it, thus i feel guilty and decide to replace the laptop i left for him to a desktop. Heuahuaeh but the problem is, he dont play games :p so just get him a decent cheap but fast Desktop. Rite? heres the catch... wherE?

Exactly! so i went to PCM kiulap and asked... they could get it down to $629 which is pretty cheap, but i really want to look for other options... and in Brunei memang payah. The TFF Rig is cheap for a gaming laptop and if u google up on the parts they put in my rig... its jaw dropping? heauhuaehuaeh anyways back to the Desktop for my Dad. I tried going to other places... but so few shops sell barebone desktops...all of them are ready made, ill try other shops nanti. however, theres this one shop i could get it cheap therefore im thinking of making desktops to alternatives to my laptop business ^^

My A4 tech Headset... needed more Juice ^^

I was looking around for a cheap headset that i could use for games, i didnt want to buy those heavily priced Razer or Siberia headsets with Sound cards built it cuz its just too freaking expensive! Then i found an A4 tech Headset, looks cool, and its cheap (say around 25$) but when i tested it, the sound quality and volume was...sad and it was not usable... I didnt have a sound card on my desktop which was one of the reason i think... My bad. Compared to those high end headsets, mine was puny :p however, i made full use of what i have.

Looked around and found a USB sound card thingy, so put it together with the headset, and it gave off pretty good sounds and now my Headset is now USABLE again! Its a pretty good alternative to heavy duty expensive headsets (eg. Razer or Steelseries headsets). If you're not fussy that is :p (call me cheap call me lame, but dont forget, also call me satisfied) Here are some pix ^^

Left 4 Dead 2 - Original CD

Hello again.

I just installed Left 4 DeaD 2 (L4D2) CD and was playing on steam just now LOL!~ it was great! didnt play long cuz my my sister was baking choc cake or something in the kitchen. I bought the CD together with my TFF Computer Rig last month, and yea i just got around to intalling it ^^

Been away for so Long :p Lots of things happened!

Things are slow rite now but lots happened since my last update, just to let u know, my Behemoth is not working well - the graphic card i put in didnt last long, so now im hunting for a replacement gpu zzzz.

So many things to update, but i guess ill start with whats been going on in DIGI LIFE (before i go to the Juicy deals and gadgets LOL!~) - bz at work (yea nothing new there) but ive been playing Dota frequently at Gadong. Less Garena, i think i prefer playing with friends at Lan nite. Rite now ive got 3 to 4 lan Groups OMFG!

1) Old School Mates

2) Office mate and his friends

3) The TFF team

4) A 1 time thing with a colleague and his friends who were also my neighbourhood aquaintences (played Killing Floor)

Since my Behemoth failed me (again ...) i had to find other alternatives to game, bought a Gateway 14inch laptop... was not the same, so left it with my brother to use for work. Ttowards the end of the Year, 27th November 2009 The TFF team had their Lan Parties (details at http://www.team.fragfactory.net/ ) and i needed a computer, so i Bought myself a KICK ASS!!! TFF PACKAGE RIG! (ill post details about it if u want to purchase one). Hueahuhaeuhae The Rig was awesome LOL!~

We gamed 2 days staright (well i had 4 hrs sleep that weekend :p ) so many games so little time! heauhuaeh i only had time to play :

My dell stopped working a few weeks back, and ive tried fixing it and none of the basic fixes work. tried the HDD, Ram, re-seating, Mobo battery, power cable etc. then narrowed it down to 2 possible components.... Mobo and the GPU... each would cost me me at least $200 (if im luckY)

i tried with the cheaper fix (GPU) and when the replacement GPU arrived in the mail (THX FedEx!! :D ) made the change and BOOM! it worked.... at first it showed some errors, but i just needed to initialize the settings and im off. heuahueahueahuhea I feel Alive again, now i want to go play games! here's the a pic of the GPU

Hello, ive been fixing laptops and stuff and while waiting i tot it would be nice to take a Step Back and look around for other things thats been happening in my Life.

Whats in Dg-cribb's life so far?

Firstly, today i went blogging fer a bit at anakbrunei.org, say a tag message about Smarter's 2nd Autism Awareness DAY in UBD!! i remembered when Malai of Smarter went to our MPP class and gave us a talk on governance, he redirected my life direction abit heahuehauhea so now i think i would play my part as a Bruneian to inform you all that the Autism Wareness day is going to be on 2nd April.

I have 1 DDR2 RAMs for sale, going for $32 a piece. Just click on the "Fore Sale" button ontop and it will list out the stuff i have left, im expecting new stock soon, and maybe Dual Core Laptops in May.

Lately ive also been upgrading Laptops, "Upping" the Ram, Processor and Hardrive, so if u feel like upgrading ur Laptop instead of buying a new one, give me a try.

Hello,

Had my 2 weeks leave and tot its about time i "continued" (well actually to start) on my Desktop Project. Its and old un-used computer from back when i was in college and now ive revived it and replaced some parts that were not working. tool a good week, bought some stuff and a really good vision to get this started! heuahuehaea my brother gave me a helping hand and my dad was happy enuf to give comments and support Hueahuhea.

The specs arent that good, but hey its a 7 year old computer with parts either older or as old. So these are the things i put into the machine:

1 Maxtor Hard Drive (80 Gig maybe, IDE)
1 Asus mother board
An AMD Athlon Processor (I think ) 1.8 Ghz Overclock to 2.7 Ghz
A GeForce II Graphic Card (bought it in 2002) 128 Video Ram
1 256MB Kingston Ram Stick , DDR SD (ok, i HAVE no more ram of this kind bah...sigh wish could upgrade it)
1 CD Rom Drive (got it from me dad"s old comp...my CD Rom wasnt working...sigh)
1 USB Hub (Heuaheuhea it looked Cool to have on)
2 sheets of PlexiGlass (did i spell it correctly?)
6 long screws and nuts

Hello all,

Ive decided to dedicate a post to my Mouse Pad. its been with me for SO long, it guided me through my CS massacres, though my 24-hr Maple Run, enabling me to mass produce my Zerg army in Star Craft, giving me comfort while i slash my enemies in War Craft 3, and also leading me to sweet blissful victory in DotA, not to mentioned the number of competitions that took it with me (which i lost heauheuahea). Behold! my MOUSE PAD!

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, i know you are at Awe as you feast yer eyes on the greatness of my MOUSE PAD!... well that aside YES bloody Hell its a BOOK! *cries*, its my multimedia book that i had when i was studying in college... my mouse didnt detect the table very well, and the back of my book did the trick, surprisingly it feels AWESOME! and ive used it ever since heuahueaheua guess my teachers were rite, Books are not useless =) u juz have to know how to use it.

And if u flip back, u can see the title of the Book!! heuahuheauhaeuheauheah

well ive got other mousepads, 1 at the office, my Oversized Razer for Control gaming mat (yea i need mouse support at work zzzz) the 2nd one is my new Scared-down Razer Goliathus gaming mat for control ( and amongst all, id still love to use my book)

I like to afford things, and usually Pride and other people keeps me from enjoying my choice, i rarely can afford anything and ive been using pass-me-downs. Anyways, looking around, people are always into the latest things and trends, i cant do that ... so instead i bring out the Potential in used or old stuff. To cut things short, if Its not new and its not broken, Hell ill use it ^^

Lets concentrate on the Need rather than the Want.

You Need a laptop, but u Want a new one,
You Need to do work/assignments, but u want to look cOoL!~
Therefore why not Non-new CooL-Looking Laptops?

Anyways jus to kick things off, this is my 2nd hand laptop an Acer TravelMate 2410... not much but its a start i suppose to entice yer minds fer a bit...

Im happy with it, For an old comp - it sure kicks ASS when i DOta! LOL!~

(The Specs: 1.5 GHz, 760MB Ram, 60 Gig HDD)

(Gave i a nice skin, wish i could do a better job with the Acer emblem though...)
